Originally from Sacramento, California, Kat has been in the veterinary field since 2011. She loves general practice, especially educating clients and working with challenging patients. While she has experience with large animals, her true passion is caring for dogs and cats.

Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, dancing, rockhounding, and attending concerts—music is a big part of her life. She has two sons (19 and 17, adopted), and with her partner, Zach, shares a home with three black labs, three sphynx cats, a senior long-haired cat, and three domestic shorthairs.

She has lived in Arizona on and off for about 10 years, spent five years in southeast Idaho, and the rest of her life in California—but Arizona will always feel like home. Her dream is to own land in northern Arizona, live off the grid, raise her own food, and keep farm animals. Homesteading is the goal
